Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Durgadas Uikey today launched the beta version of Aadivani, India’s first Artificial Intelligence-based translator for tribal languages in New Delhi. Addressing the event, the Minister said that Aadivani is a pioneering initiative in which artificial intelligence is utilized to promote, protect and revitalize tribal languages. He also emphasized the importance of language as a vehicle of cultural heritage. He further noted that many tribal languages face the risk of extinction and called for collective efforts to safeguard them.The platform has been developed to bridge linguistic gaps and strengthen communication in tribal dialects.
