Bank CCTV footage clears Nonigopal Singh in the Nadiapur child murder case as police confirm he was at a bank during the crime. Investigation continues into the brutal killing of eight-year-old Amrit Sinha.

A child murder case that shocked Nadiapur village under Churaibari police station, bank CCTV footage has cleared local resident Nonigopal Singh of any involvement, according to police sources and family statements.

The case revolves around the gruesome killing of eight-year-old Amrit Sinha, an incident that sent shockwaves across the region and triggered widespread outrage. Following the discovery of the crime, police initially arrested Madan Gopal Sinha (57) and later Tapas Sinha (38) after relying on the statement of Bijoya Sinha (28), who was found critically injured during the same incident.

As the investigation progressed, police detained Nonigopal Singh (43), a resident of Govindpur Panchayat’s Ward No. 6, for questioning. His detention sparked concern among family members, who consistently maintained his innocence and urged authorities to verify his whereabouts at the time of the crime.

During interrogation, police learned that Nonigopal was present at Kalachara Gramin Bank during the time the murder took place. He had reportedly visited the bank along with a cashier from the Prabhati Self-Help Group to withdraw loan funds. Investigators subsequently examined CCTV footage from the bank premises.

Police officials confirmed that the CCTV recordings clearly showed Nonigopal inside the bank during the crucial time window, effectively ruling out his presence at the crime scene. Based on this evidence, he was released from police custody.

Speaking to reporters after his release, Nonigopal Singh stated that he had no connection whatsoever to the crime and expressed relief that the surveillance footage had established the truth. His family members reiterated their deep sorrow over the tragic killing of young Amrit Sinha while demanding swift and uncompromising justice for the victim.

“This is a barbaric crime that has shaken our entire community,” a family member said. “Those responsible must receive the strictest punishment under the law.”

Police authorities have officially acknowledged that Nonigopal Singh is not linked to the crime based on verified CCTV evidence. However, they emphasized that the investigation is far from over. Officials stated that forensic analysis, witness verification, and further questioning of the arrested suspects are ongoing.
