Bangladesh Railway (BR) today signed a contract with an Indian joint venture firm for preparatory work on Sirajganj-Bogura Rail Link Project in Bangladesh.
Under the Tk 97.56 crore contract, the firm led by RITES Ltd of India will work for updating the project’s feasibility study, detailed design, and preparing tender documents.
They will also provide construction subversion services when the physical work of the project will start.
Representatives of BR and the Indian joint venture firm signed the contract in presence of Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan and Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram K Doraiswami at Dhaka’s Rail Bhaban.
BR is implementing Tk 5,579.70 crore project to establish 86km direct link between Sirajganj and Bogura.
