AYUSH Minister Pratap Rao Jadhav today said that Yoga represents India’s aspiration for global well-being. Speaking at the Global Yoga Summit – Yoga Connect in New Delhi, he said that Humanity is presently facing various challenges across the world and added that Yoga is a gift and legacy from India to the world for global peace.
The Minister asserted that Yoga transcends the boundaries of religion, gender, and language and is accessible to all, from children to the elderly and from the impoverished to the affluent. He cited a government body’s survey that over the past decade, 33 percent of individuals have engaged in International Yoga Day event.
During the occasion, Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Yoga Guru Ramdev and other Significant Personalities were also present. Yoga Connect is a global summit that brings together Yoga gurus, policymakers, health specialists, celebrities and social media influencers from across the world. This summit aims to serve as a global platform for dialogue, collaboration and the exchange of ideas around the evolving landscape of yoga and wellness.
