Major Asian stock markets closed in positive territory today. Japan’s Nikkei 225 index surged around 3.4 per cent, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index gained 2.4 per cent, South Korea’s Kospi index added nearly 1.8 per cent and China’s Shanghai Composite Index increased over 0.6 per cent. Meanwhile market in Singapore remained closed for a holiday.
Major European indices were trading mixed today. Germany’s DAX was trading almost 1.2 per cent up, London’s FTSE 100 added 0.4 per cent, while France CAC 40 was trading over 0.1 per cent down, when reports last came in.
