Asian & European markets up

Asian stock market indices edged higher today. South Korea’s Kospi surged 4.6 per cent, Japan’s Nikkei 225 soared 2.8 per cent, Taiwan’s Taiex climbed 2.4 per cent, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng jumped 1.9 per cent, China’s Shanghai Composite advanced 1.1 per cent, and Singapore’s Strait Times rose 0.8 per cent.Major European indices were trading higher today. France’s CAC 40 gained 1.8 per cent, Germany’s DAX rose 1.4 per cent and London’s FTSE 100 advanced 1.1 per cent, when reports last came in.
