Ash Wednesday is being observed today. It signifies the beginning of the 40 day lent by Christians all around the world. Devotional services will be held every day from today and they will end on Easter Sunday when the resurrection of Christ is celebrated. Churchgoers will receive ashes on their foreheads at the Churches today.
