Successful aspirants who cleared the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) are likely to get appoint soon. Sources said, the Finance department already has already given the go ahead for creation of the posts for them.
It is learnt that Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb already passed an instruction to the Finance department to expedite the process for clearance.
Education minister Ratanlal Nath also held discussion with the Finance department for the same and it was then informed to the Chief Minister following which the instruction was given.
Total 12,229 candidates had applied for TET-I (I to V) in September last year. Among them, 11,221 aspirants cleared the test while 1061 of them secured the pass marks.
Similarly, in TET-II (VI to VIII), 15,543 candidates had applied– among them, 14,439 aspirants had appeared in the test while 2625 of them could obtain the pass mark. The exam for paper II was held on October 3 last.
Meanwhile, the TET-qualified candidates are pressing for their demands including category wise creation of posts for recruitment of all TET qualified teachers together.
