Addressing an election rally in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, Home Minister Amit Shah reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to institute the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) across India, underlining it as “Modi ki Guarantee” (PM Modi’s guarantee).

Accusing the Congress of perpetuating appeasement politics by obstructing reforms in personal laws, Shah affirmed the BJP’s unwavering commitment to the UCC.

“Rahul Baba, indulge in appeasement tactics all you want. But as long as the BJP stands strong, personal laws will not overshadow the mandate for a Uniform Civil Code,” Shah declared to the fervent crowd.

“As long as the BJP is in power, we will safeguard the integrity of personal laws. Our nation will uphold the principles of a Uniform Civil Code, as enshrined in our Constitution,” Shah proclaimed, emphasizing the UCC’s significance.

Further, Shah lauded the BJP government’s decisive action in the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, dismissing the Congress’s apprehensions of bloodshed as baseless. “It has been five years since the historic decision to abrogate Article 370. Contrary to the doomsday prophecies, not a single stone has been hurled in Jammu and Kashmir,” Shah said, attributing this tranquility to the resolute governance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a significant electoral move, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, erstwhile Congress member, is contesting from Guna constituency on the BJP’s ticket. Scindia’s defection from the Congress, along with 22 loyalist MLAs, marked a pivotal shift in Madhya Pradesh’s political landscape, positioning him as a formidable contender under the BJP banner.
