All England Badminton Championships began today in Birmingham. India’s campaign is led by Lakshya Sen and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty in the tournament. Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu will unfortunately miss out on the action in the tournament as she has returned home after being stranded at Dubai airport due to the prevailing geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
In Men’s singles, Lakshya Sen will take on world No. 1 and defending champion Shi Yu Qi of China in the opening round this evening.
