Abu Dhabi is poised to make history this New Year’s Eve with an ambitious 50-minute fireworks display at the Sheikh Zayed Festival, aiming to secure its place in the record books as the world’s largest pyrotechnic spectacle.
The celebration will attempt to break six Guinness World Records through a combination of traditional fireworks and cutting-edge technology. A highlight of the event will be an extraordinary drone show featuring 6,000 drones creating intricate artistic patterns across the night sky for more than 20 minutes.
The festival organizers have designed an escalating series of displays throughout the evening, with fireworks demonstrations scheduled to begin at 6 PM and continue hourly until the record-attempting grand finale at midnight on new years eve. This progressive build-up will create mounting anticipation for the main event while ensuring entertainment throughout the night for families and early attendees.
Beyond the pyrotechnics, the festival will showcase the emirate’s cultural heritage through traditional performances while incorporating modern elements such as laser light shows.
