Abhimanyu Singh says Bollywood and South cinema both deliver quality work with professionalism, discipline, and strong storytelling while discussing his challenging role in Inspector Avinash Season 2 and his intense preparation for the character.
Actor Abhimanyu Singh has shared his thoughts on the ongoing comparison between Bollywood and South cinema, saying that both industries are producing quality work with professionalism and dedication. The actor stated that he personally does not see any major difference in the working style of the two film industries.
During an exclusive interaction, Abhimanyu was asked about the common perception among actors that South cinema follows stricter punctuality and discipline compared to Bollywood. Responding to the question, the actor dismissed the idea of creating a divide between the industries and said that professionalism exists everywhere when filmmakers are committed to quality cinema.
According to Abhimanyu, people working in Bollywood are equally punctual and focused on delivering large-scale productions with proper planning and dedication. He explained that strong storytelling and hard work can be found in both industries, which is why he does not believe in comparing one with the other.
The actor’s remarks come at a time when debates surrounding Bollywood and South cinema continue to dominate conversations within the Indian entertainment industry. Several actors in recent years have spoken about the organized work culture in South Indian film industries. However, Abhimanyu chose to emphasize unity and mutual respect rather than highlighting differences.
On the professional front, Abhimanyu Singh was recently seen in the second season of the popular web series Inspector Avinash. The actor received appreciation for his performance and for the dedication he brought to his role in the show.
Speaking about his preparation process, Abhimanyu revealed that he began working on the character several days before the shooting started. He shared that he isolated himself mentally to remain connected with the emotional condition of the role. The actor admitted that he initially did not know how he would approach the character, so he spent a lot of time alone while preparing for the performance.
Abhimanyu also opened up about the physical challenges he faced during the transformation for the role of Devi. He explained that wearing a saree and adapting to a feminine appearance required intense effort, patience, and dedication. Despite the challenges, the actor expressed happiness that audiences appreciated his work and accepted the character positively.
The actor further discussed the responsibility of returning for the second season of a successful series. Abhimanyu admitted that audience expectations become much higher once a show gains popularity. However, he explained that the makers had filmed both seasons of Inspector Avinash together before deciding to release the project in two separate parts.
Because both seasons were shot simultaneously, Abhimanyu said the continuity of emotions and character development remained consistent throughout the story. This, according to him, helped maintain the authenticity of the narrative and allowed the cast to stay connected with their performances.
