In a bid to enhance facilities for the people of Tripura visiting Delhi, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has revealed plans to establish another Tripura Bhavan in the national capital. Currently, two Tripura Bhavans are in operation in Delhi, but the existing facilities face space constraints, making it challenging for state residents to utilize them effectively.
Recognizing the need for improved infrastructure, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha is actively considering the establishment of a new, more spacious Tripura Bhavan in the Dwarka area of Delhi. If the proposal comes to fruition, it promises to offer enhanced amenities and greater convenience to the state’s visitors in Delhi.
On a recent visit to Delhi, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Binoy Kumar Saxena. During their meeting, discussions centered around the potential establishment of the new Tripura Bhavan. The Chief Minister also requested the allocation of suitable land for this proposed facility.
In addition to this development, Chief Minister Dr. Saha held meetings with key central government officials during his Delhi visit. Notably, he met with Union Minister of State for Skill Development, Rajeev Chandrashekar, and Union Minister of State for Law and Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Arjun Ram Meghwal. These discussions primarily revolved around various aspects of Tripura’s development and pertinent issues related to the state.
The proposed new Tripura Bhavan in Delhi aims to provide a more spacious and accessible platform for the state’s residents visiting the national capital, further strengthening ties between Tripura and the central government.
