In a call for unity and concrted efforts to improve infrastructure in the state of Tripura, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath appealed to the engineers of the power department during the Engineers’ Day Celebration held at the conference hall of Tripura Power Transmission Limited.
Addressing the gathering of engineers, Minister Ratan Lal Nath emphasized the pivotal role engineers play in advancing the state’s infrastructure. He urged them to contribute wholeheartedly to the development of “Ek Tripura Sreshtha Tripura,” highlighting their significance in the state’s infrastructural growth.
During the celebration, a workshop on “Transformational Leadership for Transforming Organisation” was conducted as part of the Comprehensive Biennial Inspection Scheme (CBIS) under the North Eastern Region (NER) Power System Improvement Project.
Minister Nath also highlighted the government’s initiatives to bolster the power sector, including collaborations with the World Bank and Asian Development Bank. He mentioned the government’s focus on implementing 100% smart power meters across the state, promoting digitalization, and laying underground power cables and covered power lines to ensure uninterrupted power supply, particularly during the monsoon season.
As part of the event, Minister Ratan Lal Nath officially launched the website of Tripura Power Transmission Limited.
In a separate Engineers’ Day Celebration organized by the Public Works Department (PWD) in Agartala, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Dipak Majumdar, urged government engineers to work diligently in the pursuit of “Ek Tripura Srestha Tripura.” He acknowledged the crucial role engineers play in the state’s infrastructure development and commended the state’s skilled engineers for contributing to its progress.
To mark Engineers’ Day, Mayor Majumdar inaugurated a blood donation camp organized by the PWD in collaboration with the All Engineers Service Association, Engineering Institutes, and Professional Engineering Institutions, further highlighting the collaborative spirit and dedication of the state’s engineers.
