The Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences (TIPS) celebrated its 15th Foundation Day with a series of events that highlighted its remarkable journey of imparting quality healthcare education and fostering a commitment to humanity. The institute, established in partnership with the Department of Health and Family Welfare has become a premier educational hub in North East India, offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in allied health care and nursing, said a press statement.
The 15th Foundation Day celebrations showcased TIPS’s holistic approach to education and service. Events included a blood donation camp, symbolizing the institute’s commitment to the well-being of the community. The inauguration of the wall magazine “Dishari” and the publication of the Annual Journal were milestones highlighting academic achievements. The celebrations culminated with a cultural extravaganza at Rabindra Bhavan Agartala, embracing diversity and creativity.
The press statement said, TIPS boasts a state-of-the-art infrastructure, housing departments specializing in various nursing and paramedical sciences including Physiotherapy, Radiology, Radiotherapy, Optometry, OT Technology, Lab Technology, Hospital Administration, Food & Nutrition, and more. The institute’s dedication to excellence has garnered recognition from prestigious bodies such as the Tripura State Nursing Council, Atomic Regulatory Board of India (AERB), Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), and Indian Society of Radiographer & Technologists (ISRT). Moreover, TIPS’s international certifications from the International Accreditation Organization (IAO) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) attest to its global standards of education.
“In sync with the evolving demands of the healthcare industry, TIPS has introduced two new undergraduate programs – Bachelor in Cardiac and Critical Care Technology and Bachelor in Haemodialysis Technology” said the TIPS adding that these additions reflected its commitment to producing graduates equipped with cutting-edge skills that align with the latest healthcare requirements.
It said, the TIPS’s reach extends beyond borders, with a diverse student body hailing from various states across India and neighboring countries. The institute’s ties with over 150 reputed healthcare brands pan India, including Apollo Hospitals, Manipal Group of Hospitals, NH Hospitals, and Max Hospitals, showcase its industry relevance. Collaborations with renowned institutions like Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute and Manipal Hospital, Sikkim, further solidify TIPS’s stature.
