Education minister Ratanlal Nath said the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations- 2021 results will be reviewed by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE). The decision was taken in the wake of students’ protests across the state for the last two days. The students who had also staged agitation in front the residence of Education Minister alleged that there were visible discrepancies and anomalies in the TBSE results. The minister had held a meeting with the TBSE officials before announcing the decision in a media conference.

Nath said, the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary results were declared by the TBSE as per the evaluation process prescribed by a 10-member expert committee.

He said, the Board was asked to see  if there was any fault in the evaluation process or the results sent by the school authorities.

“If there is any anomalies then the Board should hold talks with the school authorities and fix them. There is no need for any agitation. The anomalies , if any,  will be resolved by the Board,” the minister assured.

He also reminded that if any student who even passed the examination is not satisfied with the results then he or she would have an opportunity to re-appear in the examinations to be conducted by the Board as per the order of the Supreme Court.  The examinations were likely to be announced by the end of August or at the beginning of September, he added.

A meeting between the Board and the expert would be held on Thursday and then they would hold discussions with the school authorities. Nath said, he believes that the process of review would not take more than one week.
