If Greater Tipraland demand is accepted by the Trinamool Congress then TIPRA Motha will consider electoral tie with it. But the assurance for the support to Greater Tipraland will have to be given in writing, said TIPRA motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarman who met visiting Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh today.
“We are ready for talks with any party provided it gives us a written assurance of Greater Tipraland”, he said. We want the assurance in writing to show it to our Tiprasa people”, said Debbarman.
Both Debbarman and Ghosh held a discussion during their meeting on present political situation of the state. Ghosh came here to liaise with some political leaders and influence them to support the Trinamool Congress in its attempt to make a foray in Tripura’s politics.
“I know Kunal Ghosh for years. He wanted to know about the present political situation of the state and I briefed him accordingly,” Debbarma said but added that there was no discussion on any kind of alliance.
West Bengal unit’s Trinamool Congress General Secretary, Kunal Ghosh on Thursday said his party would form government in Tripura in the next assembly elections.
“In West Bengal we made the Left Front and Congress draw blank. In Tripura we would defeat BJP to form Trinamool Congress government. We do what we say”, Ghosh told a press conference.
