Tesla chief executive Elon Musk has said that the group will be investing in India very soon. Musk made the comments after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New York today.
Musk said that India has strong potential for a sustainable energy future including solar power, stationary battery packs, and electric vehicles. The Tesla CEO also said that he hopes to bring SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service to India. Speaking about his meeting with Mr Modi, Musk said that the Indian Prime Minister really cares about his country and Tesla will be in India as soon as humanly possible. Musk also said that he is a fan of Mr. Modi and intends to visit India next year.

The meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, took place during Modi’s state visit to the United States. In a tweet, Prime Minister Modi mentioned that their discussions encompassed various topics, including energy and spirituality. Elon Musk acknowledged the meeting and described it as a great conversation.
Following the meeting, Musk expressed his intention to bring Tesla to India as soon as possible and also mentioned the possibility of introducing Starlink internet in the country. He praised India’s potential for solar energy investments and expressed his excitement about the future of the country, stating that he believes India has more promise than any other large country in the world.
Regarding Musk’s personal beliefs, he has previously stated that he generally agrees with the teachings of Christianity but does not consider himself religious. He mentioned in an interview on the Full Send Podcast that he has never been particularly religious. When asked about his belief in God, Musk responded that he believes either something created the universe or that the universe simply exists.
