Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has extended financial help to a cancer patient based on the appeal of the patient’s son on social media.
Neharun Began, wife of Haris Ali and resident of Gandacherra, has been fighting with cancer for a long time. On Monday, her son posted a video on social media seeking help for treatment.
As soon as the appeal reached the Chief Minister’s Office, the matter was brought to the notice of the Chief Minister who then passed an instruction for extending help to the patient immediately.
As directed by the Chief Minister, Rajib Bhattacharjee on behalf of Vivekananda Vichar Mancha on Tuesday provided financial support to the patient’s family. He also talked with the Medical Superintendent of the hospital for ensuring healthcare to the cancer patient.
