Tension ran underneath in Udaipur following a report of alleged Love jihad case.

According to reports three youths belonging to the minority community were accused of molesting a 17-years old girl inside the Tepania eco park on Thursday.

The girl alleged that a ‘Muslim youth introduced himself as ‘Hindu’ to attract her in social media handle for the last six months. Later, as the virtual relations went deeper the youth wanted the girl to meet him in Tepania Eco Park on Thursday. The unsuspecting girl went there alone and then all of a sudden three youths appeared in the scene along with her ‘social media friend’. They asked her to go along with them.

Her relatives alleged that the girl then smelled something wrong and tried to leave the place. But she was restrained. She then tried to run away but was chased down. The youths then took her to a car.  However, she continued to scream they pushed her out of the as they reached Rajarbagh area. Later the girl managed to reach her home and informed her guardian.  

Police immediately swung into action and arrested one accused.

Following the incident, the Hindu Jagaran Mancha intervened in the incident and rushed to the R K Pur Women Police station to lodge a complaint. The girl along with her mother also reached the police station to lodge a complaint.

The members of the Hindu outfit termed the incident as ‘love-jihad’ and alleged that it was case of increasing ‘love-jihad’, where the Muslim youths are trapping the Hindu girls on their prey by introducing themselves as Hindus. 

Investigation into the case was on.
