Adani Electricity has powered over 700 Navratri and Durga Puja pandals across Mumbai with temporary electricity connections and nearly 850 floodlights. The utility has deployed Quick Response Teams and issued electrical safety guidelines to ensure reliable power and safer festive celebrations.
Adani Electricity has provided temporary electricity connections to more than 700 Navratri and Durga Puja pandals across Mumbai this festive season, supporting celebrations with reliable power supply and enhanced safety arrangements. The utility has also installed nearly 850 floodlights at various pandals to improve visibility and help ensure the safety of devotees.
Mumbai is witnessing enthusiastic celebrations of Navratri and Durga Puja, with thousands of devotees participating in religious ceremonies, cultural programmes and Garba events across the city. Adani Electricity said it recognises the importance of maintaining an uninterrupted electricity supply during these major festivals, when pandals attract large gatherings.
Among the celebrations supported by the company were Garba events at Dharmaveer Sambhaji Ground in Khotwadi, Santacruz West, and the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Pandal at SNDT University Ground in Juhu. Both venues received electricity support from Adani Electricity.
The company said its arrangements were designed to provide safe, reliable and uninterrupted electricity during the festive period. To simplify the process for organisers, the utility had announced streamlined arrangements earlier this month, offering temporary electricity connections to pandals within 48 hours of receiving complete applications.
Adani Electricity has also urged all Navratri and Durga Puja organisers to obtain authorised electricity connections and comply with prescribed safety standards. The company warned against unauthorised power usage, highlighting the importance of proper electrical installations at crowded festival venues.
As part of its electrical safety advisory, the utility has asked pandal organisers to engage only licensed electrical contractors for wiring and installations. Organisers have also been advised to use approved electrical materials and equipment to reduce the risk of electrical faults and other safety incidents during celebrations.
To address possible disruptions, Adani Electricity has deployed dedicated Quick Response Teams backed by a comprehensive power restoration plan. The teams will remain on standby throughout the festivities to respond to technical faults and restore electricity supply whenever required.
The additional floodlights installed at pandals are intended to improve illumination in areas where devotees gather, helping organisers manage movement and maintain visibility during evening and night-time celebrations.
The utility said its festive preparations build on the arrangements made during the recent Ganesh festival, when it provided approximately 1,100 temporary electricity connections to Ganpati pandals across its distribution network.
Adani Electricity also highlighted its previous year’s performance, when it supplied electricity to more than 653 Navratri and Durga Puja pandals within its distribution area. This year’s coverage of more than 700 pandals reflects the scale of arrangements undertaken for the current festive season.
With large crowds expected at religious and cultural venues, the company has emphasised the importance of cooperation between electricity providers, organisers and visitors. Following electrical safety guidelines, using authorised connections and ensuring proper lighting can help reduce risks during public celebrations.

Adani Electricity has appealed to organisers to complete the necessary formalities for temporary connections, maintain safe electrical installations and coordinate with the utility when assistance is required.
The company’s festive arrangements aim to support Mumbai’s Navratri and Durga Puja celebrations through temporary power connections, additional lighting, emergency response teams and safety awareness. The utility said reliable electricity and adherence to safety precautions remain essential to ensuring smooth and secure festivities across the city.
