Rupee depreciates by 34 paise against US dollar

In the forex market, the rupee depreciated by 34 paise to close at 95.45 rupees against the US dollar. 
The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was trading at 98.93 in intra-day trade today.
