Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha says TCS officers have a crucial role in building Viksit Tripura and Viksit Bharat 2047. At the TCS 2026 training valedictory ceremony in Agartala, he handed certificates to 27 newly inducted officers, urging transparency, honesty, skill development and people-centric administration.
Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday said administrative officers have a crucial role in achieving the vision of Viksit Tripura and Viksit Bharat by 2047, stressing that officials must work with transparency, honesty, dedication and a strong commitment to public service.
Dr. Saha made the remarks while inaugurating the certificate distribution ceremony of the Tripura Civil Service (TCS) 2026 batch at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala. The programme marked the completion of the induction training of 27 newly appointed TCS officers. The Chief Minister handed over certificates to the newly inducted officers and extended his congratulations and best wishes for their administrative careers.
The induction training programme was conducted from March 10 to August 21, 2026, and was organised by the State Institute of Public Administration & Rural Development (SIPARD), Agartala, in collaboration with the General Administration (P&T) Department of the Government of Tripura.

Addressing the newly inducted officers, the Chief Minister said knowledge, dedication and skills are essential for development. He urged the officers to continuously upgrade their capabilities according to the changing needs of society and administration.
Dr. Saha said government officials should rise above considerations of caste and creed while discharging their responsibilities and should work as a bridge between the administration and the people. He emphasised that transparency and honesty are essential for earning public trust and ensuring that government development initiatives achieve their intended objectives.
According to the Chief Minister, an administrative position should not be viewed merely as a means of livelihood but as an opportunity to serve the people. He encouraged the young officers to accept challenges and work harder for citizens, saying that those who take on greater responsibilities and challenges can become more efficient administrators.
Referring to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, Dr. Saha said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has placed considerable emphasis on skill development and strengthening human resources to transform the country into a developed nation. He said Tripura is also moving towards the goal of Viksit Tripura through coordination between the state administration and elected public representatives.

The Chief Minister stressed that development projects must be implemented transparently and efficiently. He said skilled and honest officials are essential for the successful execution of government schemes and projects and for ensuring socio-economic development among the people.
Dr. Saha also highlighted the state government’s efforts towards digital transformation, stating that Tripura is moving forward in line with the broader vision of Digital India. He said the state’s development efforts have received recognition at various levels, including appreciation from NITI Aayog, which has described Tripura as a “front runner state.”
The Chief Minister further pointed out that Tripura has achieved the second position among the North-Eastern states in terms of GDP and has received several awards for its development initiatives. He also recalled the successful organisation of the G20 Summit in the state.
He said the government is recruiting new administrative officers with the objective of ensuring effective implementation of development projects. For this purpose, he stressed that officials must possess professional skills, administrative efficiency and integrity.
Tripura Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, while addressing the newly inducted officers, said their induction would provide further momentum to administrative activities in the state. SIPARD Director Apurba Roy delivered the welcome address.
