India’s Sub-Junior Hockey teams continue Elite Pool campaign at FIH Youth Hockey5s Asian Championship

In Hockey, the Indian Sub-Junior Men’s and Women’s Teams continued their Elite Pool campaign at the FIH Youth Hockey5s Asian Championship in Muscat, Oman. The men’s team defeated Oman and Pakistan, while the women’s team shared the points with China before overcoming Uzbekistan. 
 
The Indian sub-junior men’s team led by Ketan Kushwaha, registered a 14-nil win over Oman. India thrashed Pakistan 7-4, with Karan Gautam completing a hat-trick. The Indian sub-junior women were held to a 2-2 draw by China before thrashing Uzbekistan 16-nil in another Elite Pool match. India then rounded off the day with a dominant win over Uzbekistan. The tournament serves as a qualifier for the inaugural FIH Youth Hockey5s World Cup.
