Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha attended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 135th Mann Ki Baat at the Global Pineapple Festival in New Delhi alongside BJP leaders, highlighting Atmanirbhar Bharat, agricultural development, public participation, and Tripura’s growing national prominence through its pineapple industry.
Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 135th edition of Mann Ki Baat at the Global Pineapple Festival held at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. The event brought together political leaders, farmers, BJP workers, and visitors from across the country, highlighting Tripura’s agricultural achievements while reinforcing the importance of national development and public participation.
Sharing his experience after the programme, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said he was honoured to listen to the Prime Minister’s monthly radio address during the Global Pineapple Festival. He expressed gratitude for joining BJP Tripura State President Abhishek Debroy, Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Tripura Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath, MLA Pramod Reang, and numerous people from Tripura, Delhi, and other parts of the country.
The Chief Minister’s participation reflected Tripura’s growing visibility at national platforms, especially through the state’s globally recognised pineapple industry. The festival was organised to promote Tripura’s GI-tagged Queen Pineapple, encourage agricultural investment, strengthen farmers’ income, and expand export opportunities for the state’s horticultural products.
Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee also shared his observations after listening to the Prime Minister’s address. According to him, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted several important national priorities, including the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, India’s achievements in indigenous defence production, the significance of the International Day of Yoga, expansion of social security schemes, promotion of sports, and the importance of people’s participation in building a Viksit Bharat.
Bhattacharjee noted that the Prime Minister’s address emphasized collective responsibility and encouraged citizens to actively contribute towards India’s developmental journey. He said the programme continues to inspire people by showcasing positive stories from across the country and promoting grassroots participation in nation-building.
BJP Tripura State President Abhishek Debroy also attended the programme alongside the Chief Minister and other senior leaders. He stated that Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership and inspirational messages continue to motivate party workers and citizens alike. According to Debroy, Mann Ki Baat has become an important platform for encouraging social awareness, public service, and national unity.
The gathering at the Global Pineapple Festival symbolised the close connection between agricultural development and national progress.
