Women-led tea enterprise NatureliQ Tea NFC from Milong Village in Tripura’s Unakoti district secured a 140-kg bulk order at the 2nd Tripura Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet 2026. Supported by TRLM, the achievement highlights women entrepreneurship, rural empowerment, market expansion, and the growing national recognition of Tripura’s specialty tea products.

A women-led tea enterprise from Tripura’s Unakoti district has successfully entered the national market after securing a major business order during the 2nd Tripura Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM) 2026 held at Polo Tower, Agartala.

NatureliQ Tea NFC, based in the Milong Village Council area of Unakoti district, received a bulk order of 140 kilograms for its specialty tea products from reputed buyers in Assam and Kolkata. The order includes a range of premium tea varieties such as Green Tea, Orthodox Tea, White Tea, Premium Tea, and Blue Tea, marking the enterprise’s first significant commercial breakthrough beyond the state’s borders.

The achievement represents a remarkable journey for the women entrepreneurs behind NatureliQ Tea NFC, who began by showcasing their products at local fairs, exhibitions, and village-level markets. Through dedication, perseverance, and continuous efforts to improve product quality, the enterprise has now reached a stage where its representatives are confidently engaging in national-level business negotiations and establishing commercial partnerships with buyers from outside Tripura.

The breakthrough came during the 2nd Tripura Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet, an initiative designed to connect local producers and self-help groups (SHGs) with larger markets and business opportunities. The event brought together buyers, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders, creating a platform for grassroots enterprises to showcase their products and build valuable market linkages.

Officials associated with the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) described the success as a powerful example of how targeted support, market exposure, and capacity-building initiatives can transform rural enterprises into competitive businesses. According to TRLM representatives, the mission goes beyond promoting quality production and focuses equally on creating opportunities for entrepreneurs to access wider markets and establish sustainable business networks.

“This is not just an order. This is confidence. This is empowerment. This is the beginning of a bigger journey,” TRLM officials said while congratulating the women entrepreneurs of NatureliQ Tea NFC and all stakeholders who contributed to the success.

The development has generated optimism across Tripura’s rural economy, where self-help groups and women-led enterprises are increasingly emerging as important contributors to local livelihoods and economic growth. Many observers believe the success of NatureliQ Tea NFC could serve as an inspiration for other rural entrepreneurs seeking to expand beyond local markets and compete at regional and national levels.

The achievement also underscores the growing recognition of Tripura’s specialty tea products, which are gradually finding acceptance among buyers across India. As demand for unique and high-quality tea varieties continues to rise, enterprises like NatureliQ Tea NFC are demonstrating the potential of rural businesses to meet market expectations while creating employment and income opportunities for local communities.
