The Congress party has announced a three-month nationwide campaign against inflation, unemployment, exam scams, social inequality, and weak diplomacy. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leaders emphasized protecting democracy, social justice, and youth interests while raising concerns over paper leaks, governance issues, and recent Rajya Sabha election controversies.

The Congress party on Thursday announced a nationwide three-month campaign aimed at highlighting key public concerns, including inflation, unemployment, examination scams, social inequality, and what it described as weak diplomacy amid evolving international challenges.

The announcement was made by Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal following a high-level meeting of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) at the party headquarters in New Delhi. The meeting brought together senior party leaders, General Secretaries, state in-charges, and Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) presidents to discuss organizational strategies, future political movements, and preparations related to the Rajya Sabha elections.

Addressing the media after the meeting, Venugopal said the party would launch an extensive national-level campaign over the next three months, with Congress leaders and workers expected to actively engage with the public across the country.

“We are going for a national-level campaign for the coming three months. Every Congress leader and worker should be in the field and on the street,” Venugopal said, emphasizing the party’s commitment to raising issues affecting ordinary citizens.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also outlined the objectives of the campaign in a post on social media platform X. He stated that the country is currently facing several serious challenges, including rising inflation, unemployment, examination scams, and social inequality.

Kharge expressed concern over repeated incidents of question paper leaks in competitive examinations such as NEET and various government recruitment tests. According to him, such controversies have shaken the confidence of millions of students and their families who depend on a fair and transparent examination system for their future opportunities.

He noted that senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had personally met affected students and youth and had consistently raised their concerns at the national level. Kharge said the party intends to continue highlighting these issues through its upcoming nationwide outreach campaign.

The Congress president further alleged that institutions and systems built over decades are being weakened, stressing that the party’s responsibility extends beyond electoral politics. He said Congress remains committed to safeguarding the Constitution, democracy, and social justice while standing with marginalized and disadvantaged sections of society.

The AICC meeting also took place against the backdrop of growing political tensions following the rejection of Congress candidate Meenakshi Natarajan’s Rajya Sabha nomination from Madhya Pradesh. The development has triggered a political confrontation between the Congress and the ruling establishment.

Referring to the issue, Venugopal described recent developments in Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand as a matter of serious concern for democratic processes. He said the party discussed these developments extensively during the nearly three-hour-long meeting.

Political observers view the newly announced campaign as part of Congress’s broader strategy to strengthen its grassroots presence and mobilize public opinion ahead of future electoral battles. Through sustained public engagement over the next three months, the party aims to focus attention on economic challenges, youth concerns, examination irregularities, and governance-related issues while reinforcing its political messaging across the country.

With leaders and workers expected to conduct outreach programmes, protests, and public interactions nationwide, the Congress campaign is likely to become a significant political exercise in the months ahead.
