The visit will mark the sixth anniversary of the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme and include an extensive review of the state’s power and urban development sectors.
According to official sources, Khattar’s itinerary includes engagements in Mizoram, West Bengal, and Tripura, where he is expected to hold a series of meetings with state government officials and department representatives. The visit underscores the Centre’s continued emphasis on welfare initiatives, infrastructure development, and sustainable economic growth across the region.
A key highlight of the Tripura visit will be a special programme in Agartala commemorating six years of the PM SVANidhi scheme. The PM SVANidhi scheme was introduced to provide affordable working capital loans to street vendors whose livelihoods were disrupted during the pandemic.
