Rupee Appreciates by 63 Paise to Close at 96 Rupees and 20 Paise Against US Dollar

In the forex market today, the rupee appreciated by 63 paise to close at 96 rupees and 20 paise against the US dollar. The dollar index, which indicates US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was trading at 99.22 in intra-day trade.
