Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress government of security lapses and economic distress in West Bengal. He also highlighted low wages and bad conditions of labourers of West Bengal due to the appeasement of illegal immigrants by Mamata Banerjee.
Amit Shah on Saturday joined the ‘Jonogoner Chargesheet’ programme in Kolkata. He addressed the media after unveiling a paper highlighting the 15 years of oppression and bad governance of the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. On the SIR issue, Shah attacked Mamata Banerjee for attacking the Election Commission. He also said that, though a Special Intensive Revision process was conducted in other states, no court had to intervene and appoint judicial officials. Amit Shah has examples of Tamil Nadu and Keralam, where DMK and Left are in power, instead of that, SIR went peacefully. On the political violence issue, Shah informed the media that more than 300 persons were killed in West Bengal for allegiance to opposition political parties. He said most of the people killed were supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
