Australia to Face Oman in Dead Rubber Group B Match at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium Today

In the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup, Australia will take on Oman in the last Group B encounter at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka today. The match will begin at 7 PM. The match is a dead rubber, as both teams have already been eliminated from the tournament. Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka from the group have already secured the spots in the Super Eight stage. Super 8 stage competitions will commence tomorrow with group 2 encounter between New Zealand and Pakistan at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.
 
Yesterday, Afghanistan defeated Canada by 82 runs in a Group D match in Chennai. After put in to bat first, Afghanistan scored 200 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. In response, Canada managed to score only 118 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated. In other matches yesterday, Zimbabwe registered a six-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in Colombo last evening and   West Indies defeated Italy by 42 runs in their final Group C clash at Eden Gardens.
