Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday held a significant telephonic conversation with Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman, congratulating him on his party’s sweeping victory in the Bangladesh parliamentary elections. The outreach signals India’s intent to maintain close diplomatic engagement with Dhaka following a major political transition.
According to official statements, Prime Minister Modi extended his warm congratulations to Rahman for leading the BNP-led alliance to a decisive electoral triumph.
