According to police sources, a First Information Report (FIR) was formally registered against Sarkar on Thursday after he allegedly trespassed into a private property and disrupted ongoing construction work. Following the incident, the family consulted local residents and leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party before approaching the police to file a formal complaint. Authorities acted promptly after verifying the allegations and took the accused into custody from his residence in the locality.
Police officials revealed that Sarkar had previously served as a Special Police Officer but had left the service several months ago. The complainant further alleged that Sarkar had been involved in intimidating several land purchasers in the area and forcing them to pay money under threats.
