Four NCC cadets from Tripura’s 15 Battalion represented the state at the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi, showcasing discipline, leadership, and national pride after rigorous selection and months of intensive training.
Four cadets from the 15 Tripura Battalion of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) have brought pride to the state by representing Tripura at the 6th Republic Day Parade held in New Delhi. Their participation in the nationally significant ceremonial event marks a major achievement for the battalion and highlights the growing contribution of Tripura’s youth to national service and discipline-oriented training.
According to NCC officials, the cadets were selected through a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process that assessed physical fitness, drill precision, discipline, leadership qualities, and overall performance. The selection process involved screening at unit, group, and national levels, followed by months of intensive training to meet the high standards required for participation in the Republic Day Parade.
The cadets who represented Tripura include Under Officer Krishna Baishnab, Under Officer Manas Pratim Baishya, Cadet Joydip Saha, and Cadet Akash Jamatia. Their inclusion in the prestigious parade contingent is considered one of the highest honors an NCC cadet can achieve, as only a limited number of cadets from across the country are chosen each year.
Officials stated that the selected cadets underwent extended preparation, including advanced drill practice, physical conditioning, ceremonial discipline, and coordination training. The preparation aimed to ensure flawless execution during the ceremonial march, which is closely observed by national leaders, foreign dignitaries, and millions of viewers across the country.
