In the Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup, India defeated New Zealand by seven wickets in their third and final group-stage match at Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The match was reduced to 37 overs per side due to rain. Chasing the target of 130 runs set by New Zealand, India achieved the target in just 13.2 overs. Put into bat first, New Zealand were bowled out for 135 runs in 36.2 overs. The revised target for India, as per the DLS method, was 130 runs. For India, skipper Ayush Mhatre scored 53 runs off 27 balls, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi contributed 40 runs off 23 balls. In the bowling department, RS Ambrish picked up four wickets, and Henil Patel claimed three. RS Ambrish was awarded Player of the Match for his four-wicket haul.
Earlier, India won the toss and elected to put New Zealand into bat.
