Temperatures soared to 36 degrees Celsius, prompting officials to activate the tournament’s extreme heat policy, which considers air temperature, radiant heat, wind speed, and humidity.
 
Defending men’s champion Jannik Sinner experienced cramping while trailing Eliot Spizzirri, and his match was paused for eight minutes before resuming under the closed roof.
