Khowai student Riddhita Ghosh wins a prestigious national drawing award in New Delhi, attended by President Droupadi Murmu, bringing pride to Tripura with her artistic excellence and academic brilliance at a young age.

A young student from Khowai district has brought immense pride to Tripura after securing a prestigious national-level award in a drawing competition held in New Delhi. Riddhita Ghosh, a Class VI student, earned the honor through her exceptional artistic talent, determination, and consistent performance at multiple competitive levels.

Riddhita Ghosh is the daughter of Ramkrishna Ghosh and Mitali Gope, residents of Ajagartila village under West Sonatala Gram Panchayat in Khowai district. Currently studying at Holy Cross School, Agartala, Riddhita has emerged as a promising young artist whose creativity and dedication have earned national recognition.

The national-level drawing competition took place on December 11 in New Delhi and was attended by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. The presence of the President added immense significance to the event, making the achievement even more memorable for the young student and her family. Riddhita’s artwork stood out among participants from across the country, leading to her selection for the coveted award.

Riddhita’s journey to national success began at a very early age. From childhood, she displayed a keen interest in drawing and painting, often spending hours perfecting her skills. Her talent was first recognized at the school level, where she secured the first position in a drawing competition earlier this year. This success paved the way for her participation at the state level, where she once again emerged victorious. Her state-level achievement ultimately qualified her for the national competition in New Delhi.

Apart from her artistic abilities, Riddhita is also known for her academic excellence. Teachers at Holy Cross School describe her as a disciplined, hardworking, and focused student who balances her studies with creative pursuits. Her ability to excel both academically and artistically has made her a role model for students across the district.

Riddhita hails from a respected family in Khowai. Her late grandfather, Pramod Ranjan Ghosh, was a well-known and admired figure in the local community. Family members believe that his values of dedication and perseverance continue to inspire Riddhita in her journey toward success.

The achievement has been widely appreciated by residents, educators, and local leaders across Khowai district. Many have hailed her success as a moment of pride not only for her family but also for Tripura as a whole.

They emphasized that they will continue to encourage and support her passion for art while ensuring her overall development. They also expressed hope that her success would inspire other young students to pursue their talents with confidence and dedication.

Riddhita Ghosh’s achievement highlights the growing potential of young talent from Tripura on national platforms and serves as a reminder that with determination, guidance, and family support, even students from small districts can achieve national recognition.
