Thirty-six youths from Tripura were selected at the VBYLD 2026 state championship in Agartala to represent the state at the national-level competition in New Delhi, highlighting youth leadership, innovation, and India’s vision for a developed nation.
Agartala witnessed a vibrant celebration of youth leadership and national vision as the state-level championship of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026 concluded successfully at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel. The event brought together some of the brightest young minds from across Tripura, highlighting the growing role of youth in shaping India’s developmental journey toward 2047.
The championship saw the enthusiastic participation of 44 dynamic youths representing different districts of the state. Each participant presented innovative ideas, strategic visions, and actionable solutions aligned with India’s long-term national priorities. The platform encouraged constructive dialogue, creativity, and leadership among young citizens committed to nation-building.
The competition covered a wide range of key national development themes, including Atmanirbhar Bharat, India’s expanding cultural influence on the global stage, building a future-ready workforce, sustainable development practices, and productivity enhancement. Other critical topics included Fit India–Hit India, integrating tradition with innovation, positioning India as a global start-up hub, women-led development, and strengthening democracy through active youth participation.
Participants were evaluated by a panel of experts based on content depth, clarity of vision, originality of ideas, innovation, and presentation skills. The discussions reflected a deep understanding of contemporary challenges and future opportunities, demonstrating how India’s youth are prepared to lead transformational change.
After an intensive and transparent evaluation process, 36 participants were officially selected to represent Tripura at the national-level VBYLD championship. The selected youths will compete at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from January 10 to 12, 2026, coinciding with the observance of National Youth Day.
The national event is expected to be a prestigious platform where young leaders from across the country will interact directly with national mentors, policymakers, administrators, and thought leaders. These interactions aim to translate youth-driven ideas into practical policy insights and leadership pathways, further strengthening democratic participation and innovation.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue is a flagship initiative focused on empowering youth leadership, fostering inclusive development, and amplifying young voices in India’s policy and governance ecosystem.
