Bihar Cabinet Recommends Dissolution as NDA Prepares to Form New Government

In Bihar, the state cabinet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today recommended dissolving the cabinet of the outgoing NDA government. The recommendation was made to dissolve the current government’s cabinet on the 19th November during the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. According to official information, after the last cabinet meeting of the present government, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Raj Bhavan and handed over a letter to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan conveying the cabinet’s decision to dissolve it.
 
 
After this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will attend the Janata Dal (United) Legislative Party meeting. Nitish Kumar is also the national president of the party. In the Legislative Party meeting, Mr Kumar is likely to be unanimously elected as the legislative party leader of the JD(U). The swearing-in ceremony of the new government in Bihar will take place on 20th November at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony have begun. Security around Gandhi Maidan has been tightened.
 
 
Tomorrow, the NDA Legislature Party will meet, in which Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is likely to be chosen as the leader of the legislative party of the NDA. Only after this will the newly elected leader of the NDA Legislature Party stake a claim to form the government and submit the list of supporting MLAs to the Governor.
 
 
Meanwhile, BJP state president Dr. Dilip Jaiswal said that tomorrow, a meeting of the BJP’s newly elected 89 MLAs will be held at the party’s state headquarters. In this meeting, the leader of the BJP Legislature Party will be elected. Dr. Jaiswal said that after this, a joint meeting of the NDA’s five constituent parties will be held. After the Assembly elections, a total of 202 members from the Bharatiya Janata Party, Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha have been elected.
 
 
The alliance has secured more than three-fourths majority. Meanwhile, Hindustani Awam Morcha patron and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said that the new government in Bihar will be sworn in on 20th November. Mr. Manjhi said that more members from the two major parties, the BJP and the JD(U), will be included in the cabinet. He said that 16 members from the BJP, 14 to 15 from the JD(U), and three members from the Lok Janshakti Party Ramvilas are likely to be included in the council of ministers. Mr. Manjhi added that one member each from the Hindustani Awam Morcha and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha may also be included in the cabinet.
