PM Modi hailed the NDA’s sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections as a mandate for good governance, development and public welfare. He vowed stronger infrastructure, cultural progress, and greater opportunities for Bihar’s youth and women under the new government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday described the National Democratic Alliance’s sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections as a decisive endorsement of “good governance and development,” reaffirming that the people of Bihar had voted overwhelmingly for stability, progress, and a performance-based political culture.
In a detailed message posted on social media platform X, the Prime Minister said the mandate was not only historic but also a clear reflection of the public’s confidence in the NDA’s track record and future roadmap for Bihar.
“Victory of good governance has been achieved. Victory of development has been achieved. Victory of the spirit of public welfare has been achieved. And victory of social justice has been achieved,” PM Modi declared.
Expressing gratitude to the people of Bihar, he said, “My deepest gratitude to the family members of Bihar, who have blessed the NDA with a historic and unprecedented victory in the 2025 Assembly elections. This resounding public mandate will empower us to serve the people and work with new resolve for Bihar.”
The Prime Minister said the NDA government would intensify efforts to create new economic opportunities, modernize infrastructure, and enhance the state’s cultural identity. He emphasized that Bihar’s youth and women would remain at the centre of the government’s developmental vision.
“In the coming times, we will actively work towards the development of Bihar, giving a new identity to the infrastructure and the culture of the state. We will ensure that the youth power and women power here get ample opportunities for a prosperous life,” he said.
PM Modi credited Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the alliance’s strong performance, praising the state government’s focus on delivering welfare programmes and infrastructure expansion.
“The NDA has ensured all-round development of the state. The people have given us a massive majority after witnessing our track record and our vision to take the state to new heights,” Modi said, adding, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ji and our NDA family colleagues Chirag Paswan ji, Jitan Ram Manjhi ji, and Upendra Kushwaha ji for this resounding victory.”
The Prime Minister also praised the hard work and organisational effort of NDA workers at every level. He said they had successfully countered misinformation campaigns and ensured that the development agenda reached every household.
“I express my gratitude to each worker of the NDA, who has worked tirelessly. They went among the public, presented our development agenda, and firmly countered every lie of the opposition. I appreciate them from the bottom of my heart,” he said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also hailed the NDA’s decisive victory, describing it as a strong endorsement of the alliance’s governance model.
In a statement on X, Shah said, “This is the victory of every Bihari who believes in a ‘Developed Bihar’. No matter in what guise those who practice jungle raj and appeasement politics come, they will not get the opportunity to loot. The public now gives its mandate solely and exclusively on the basis of politics of performance.”
Congratulating PM Modi, CM Nitish Kumar and the entire NDA leadership, the Home Minister said the election result demonstrated people’s unwavering faith in the performance-oriented approach of the government.
He lauded the efforts of NDA workers at every organisational level, saying their “tireless hard work” had made the victory possible.
Shah also issued a special assurance to the women of Bihar, reaffirming that the NDA would prioritize their safety, dignity, and empowerment under the new term.
“I assure the people of Bihar and especially our mothers and sisters that with the hope and trust with which you have given this mandate to the NDA, under the leadership of Modi ji, the NDA government will fulfil it with even greater dedication,” he added.
