The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Monday announced the schedule for the 2026 Madhyamik (Class 10) and Higher Secondary (Class 12) examinations. The announcement was made by TBSE President Dr. Dhananjay Gan Choudhury during a press conference held at the Board’s conference hall.
According to the official schedule, the Higher Secondary examinations will begin on February 25 and continue till March 30. The first paper will be English, while the last day will be reserved for vocational subjects.
The Madhyamik examination will start on February 26 with English and conclude on March 24 with vocational subjects. As per the schedule, all written examinations will be conducted from 12 noon to 3:15 p.m.
TBSE Secretary Dr. Dulal Dey informed that practical examinations will commence on November 17 and continue till December 5.
He further stated that 38,135 students have registered for the Madhyamik examination for the 2025–26 academic year, and the total number of candidates is expected to reach around 40,000. At the Higher Secondary level, 29,943 students have enrolled till November 10, and the figure is likely to rise by about 200 more.
Dr. Dey urged students who could not appear in last year’s examinations to complete their re-registration through the online portal, which will remain open throughout November.
He also cautioned all candidates to verify their submitted information carefully after online form filling, noting that every year, several students face issues where they are marked “absent” despite scoring well, due to attendance or data errors.
