Electioneering picks up in Bihar as nomination filing for first phase of assembly elections to end tomorrow

In the Bihar Assembly elections, the process of filing nominations and campaigning has gained momentum as tomorrow is the last day for filing nominations for the first phase of polling. 
 
 
A large number of candidates from both the NDA and Grand Alliance parties filed their nomination papers today. 
In support of BJP candidates, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with the Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, participated in nomination events at various locations.
 
 
Senior BJP leader and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary filed his nomination from the Tarapur seat in Munger district. Road Construction Minister Nitin Nabin filed his nomination papers from Bankipur in Patna district, while Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar filed his nomination from Nalanda as JD(U) nominee.
 
 
Former Assembly Speaker Awadh Bihari Choudhary, contesting as the RJD candidate, submitted his nomination from Siwan, while Osama Shahab, son of late former MP Mohammad Shahabuddin, filed his papers from Raghunathpur.
 
 
Meanwhile, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) released its second list of candidates, announcing a total of 29 nominees. With this, the five NDA partners, BJP, JD(U), Hindustani Awam Morcha, Rashtriya Lok Morcha, and LJP(R), have now declared candidates for all 243 Assembly seats.
