Teliamura celebrated the RSS centenary with a vibrant Vijaya Dashami festival, highlighting cultural heritage, national unity, and social values. The event emphasized discipline, patriotism, Panch Parivartan ideals, and spiritual growth, inspiring citizens across Tripura.

Teliamura witnessed a grand display of cultural pride and national unity as the local unit of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) celebrated its centenary with a vibrant Vijaya Dashami festival on Sunday. The event, held at Chitrangada Kala Kendra (Town Hall), drew a large assembly of distinguished citizens and dedicated Swayamsevaks from across the region, all gathered to honor the themes of discipline, character-building, and patriotism.

The celebration began with traditional rituals, including Dhwaj Pranam, prayers, recitation of Subhashitas, and soulful solo devotional performances. Presiding over the ceremony was Biswajit Deb Hrangkhawl, Khowai District Sanchalak, who welcomed participants and emphasized the enduring significance of the occasion. The keynote intellectual address was delivered by Abhijit Dey, Khowai District Sangh Vistarak, who highlighted the century-long legacy of RSS, underscoring its philosophy of selfless service, social responsibility, and national rejuvenation.

Dey drew insightful comparisons between Western religious traditions and India’s Sanatan Hindu values, particularly the reverence for women as divine mothers, deeply rooted in Vedic philosophy. He emphasized that while Western ideologies may face decline, global interest in Hindu philosophy continues to grow, reflecting its timeless relevance. In his address, Dey also encouraged citizens to embrace the “Panch Parivartan” — five transformative ideals: family awareness, environmental responsibility, social harmony, indigenous lifestyle, and civic etiquette, as a roadmap for societal progress.

The event’s chief guest, Ramānanda Goswami of the Shri Shri Krishna Chaitanya Ashram, delivered a passionate speech on the significance of spiritual growth and social values in shaping a harmonious and resilient society. His message reinforced the core principle that cultural and spiritual awareness must go hand in hand with community development.

Representatives of the RSS stated that the centenary celebration was not just a historical commemoration but a reaffirmation of the organization’s commitment to cultural reform, social service, and national unity. For the past 100 years, RSS has served as a pillar of social cohesion, cultural revival, and patriotic service, values that continue to inspire new generations of citizens.

Local cultural leaders and participants echoed these sentiments, noting that the Teliamura celebration transcended religious festivity, evolving into a symbol of societal inspiration and collective identity. The gathering included notable dignitaries, such as Tripura Legislative Assembly Chief Whip Kalyani Saha Roy, alongside prominent citizens representing diverse walks of life.

While RSS commemorated Vijaya Dashami nationwide on October 2, the celebrations in Tripura and West Bengal were held on October 5 to align with the emotional and cultural significance of Durga Puja in Bengali tradition. The event successfully combined devotional fervor, intellectual discourse, and social messaging, leaving a lasting impression on participants and attendees alike.
