Amit Shah Inaugurates India’s Largest Sports Complex in Ahmedabad’s Naranpura

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated India’s largest and most modern sports complex at Naranpura, Ahmedabad, today.
 
 
Addressing a large gathering, Mr. Shah reaffirmed the Modi government’s commitment to making India a top sporting nation by 2047. He stated that the new complex is the country’s largest and the world’s most advanced, expressing confidence that Ahmedabad will soon become Asia’s sports capital and a prime venue for the Commonwealth Games.  
 
 
Highlighting the transformation in Indian sports over the last decade, Mr Shah noted the sports budget has risen from 1,643 crore rupees to 5,300 crore rupees in one decade. 
 
 
Built at a cost of 825 crore rupees, the complex features a world-class aquatic complex and state-of-the-art facilities for indoor and outdoor sports, along with training and residential amenities for athletes.
 
Union Minister Mansukh Mandviya and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also attended the event.
