Talks between Gen Z representatives, Nepali Army Chief Ashikraj Sigdel and President of Nepal Ramchandra Paudel for appointing the Prime Minister of an interim government failed to reach an agreement even after two days.
Last night, the President and Speaker Devraj Ghimre met and stressed that in the current situation, solutions may be explored within the ambit of the Constitution. The discussion on whether or not to dissolve the Parliament failed to reach a consensus.
Nepal tries to settle down on the 5th day of the Gen Z protest. till 11 am in the curfew was eased in Kathmandu valley for people to use essential services. Curfew has been imposed until 6 am on September 13th in the valley. For interim government leadership, as of now, no name has been finalised yet. Public buses have started operating from the new bus park in Kathmandu today, allowing stranded passengers to reach their destination. Nepal Insurance Authority has instructed insurance companies to promptly settle insurance claims arising from difficult situations since September 8th.
