The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Marathwada and North-Eastern states during the next three to four days. The Met Department predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over West Bengal, Interior Karnataka, Ladakh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today. Talking exclusively to Akashvani News Senior Scientist at IMD, R K Jenamani said that heavy rainfall conditions are expected over Uttrakhand, Maharashtra, Mumbai, and Telangana today.
