IMD Warns of Extremely Heavy Rain in Gujarat; Thunderstorms Likely in South Karnataka, Telangana

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for extremely heavy to heavy rainfall in the Gujarat region for the next three days and for west Madhya Pradesh till tomorrow. According to IMD, Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over the places of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. The met department has also issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over East Rajasthan, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and West Madhya Pradesh.
 
The met department has predicted that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are very likely at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka and Telangana. Light to moderate rainfall with light thunderstorms and lightning has been continuing since last night in different parts of Delhi NCR.
