Ending all speculation for the last few months the state cabinet will be expanded now.

The expansion if everything goes as planned will commence tomorrow.

According to highly placed sources, three new ministers will be inducted in the cabinet.

All are tightlipped but the names that were making rounds for the inclusion in the ministry include Ram Prasad Paul, a long term BJP leader and MLA from Suryamaninagar , West Tripura, Susanta Choudhury, MLA from Majlishpur, West Tripura, and Bhagaban Das, MLA from Pabiacherra ( Unakoti district).

The list was reportedly finalized by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and according to sources sent to BJP higher ups in Delhi. The names can be changed only if Delhi leadership advises the Chief Minister in this regard.

Union MoS Pratima Bhowmik, BJP senior leaders like Vinod Sonkar, Phanindranath Sharma, Ajit Jamwal , Dilip Saikia are also coming to state before the expansion. Some of them have already arrived the city this afternoon.

The cabinet was running short of three ministers from the beginning and later one more position became vacant following dropping of the then Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman- that made total four ministers’ vacancy in the council of ministers. However, according to highly placed sources this time three will be inducted in the cabinet.

Following the induction of the new ministers port folios of the incumbent ministers will also be changed.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb sought to make the expansion a mixture of young MLAs and experienced one, said a BJP insider.
