Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale, stated that the PM-Kisan scheme has been highly beneficial for small and marginal farmers. Speaking at an event in Mumbai held to mark the release of the 20th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, he noted that the scheme enables farmers to purchase seeds, fertilisers, and other essentials without depending on local moneylenders. He added that the initiative has helped farmers become more self-reliant.
Union Ministers of State Raksha Khadse, Murlidhar Mohol, and Prataprao Jadhav also participated in similar events celebrating the 20th instalment release, held in Jalgaon, Malegaon, and Buldhana, respectively.
