The government has given priority to improvement of socio-economic status of the marginalized people of the society. The goal of the government is the development of everyone in the society. This was said by Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma while laying the foundation stone of District Panchayat Resource Centre at Ichailalchhara Gram Panchayat of Kalachhara Block of North Tripura District yesterday. Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma said that the current government’s aim is to make villages self-reliant. For this, the pace of development has to be accelerated. Training should be arranged for elected representatives of the village. Keeping that in mind, an initiative has been taken to build this District Panchayat Resource Centre in North Tripura. Financial approval has also been given for this. It should be noted that the estimated cost for the construction of this two-storied District Panchayat Resource Centre is Rs 3.83 crore.
The Deputy Chief Minister also said that the people of this state have been deprived of development for a long time. The present government is working in a mission mode for the development of people. The current government is successfully implementing different programmes like Pradhan MantriAwasYojana, development of rural economy through self-help groups, delivery of drinking water to every house, purchase of paddy at subsidized price from farmers. The Deputy Chief Minister also said that people do not have to come to the government to get different services and facilities, the government is delivering different services and facilities to the people through Prati Ghare Sushason campaign.
Secretary of Rural Development Department Dr. Sandeep R Rathod Special Secretary also spoke on the occasion. MLA BinayBhushan Das, MLA MalinaDebnath, Chairman of TIDC Tinku Roy, Chairperson of Kalachhara Panchayat Samiti Tinku Sharma, Chief Engineer of Rural Development Department Swapan Kumar Das, District Magistrate of North Tripura Nagesh Kumar B, SP of the districtDr. Kiran Kumar K, BDO of Kalachara Block Amit Chand etc were also present in the programme.
